Declan Rice has previously been left petrified by a hilarious prank from Mason Mount – and now West Ham team-mate Jack Wilshere has got one over on the midfielder.
Rice’s petrified reaction to Mount’s prank went viral online, with the Chelsea ace creeping up on him while asleep on holiday and making him jump.
Wilshere has clearly taken inspiration from Mount’s trick, uploading a clip to Instagram that shows him scaring the England star on his 21st birthday at West Ham’s Rush Green training ground.
The former Arsenal man can first be seen climbing into a giant tumble dryer and closing the door, before Rice strolls through along with a member of Hammers’ staff.

Wilshere captioned the clip with the message: “Happy birthday Deccers! Enjoy your day mate” along with a love heart, a fist and a laughing face emoji.

Even West Ham’s official account replied to the clip by posting a set of laughing emojis themselves.
Being pranked by Wilshere is not the only time Rice has been in the spotlight of late, nevertheless.
He was left seething after West Ham’s 1-0 defeat away at Sheffield United last Friday, slamming VAR after Robert Snodgrass was denied a late equaliser because of his handball in the buildup.

“I’ve just watched it back. He has knocked the ball into my hand,” Rice told Sky Sports.
“If you are running with your arms like that with the rules as they are now it is handball, but it is not intentional. It is a kick in the teeth.
“I think they are the thoughts of every Premier League player, not just me – pretty much everyone doesn't want VAR in the game.

“There have been so many decisions this season that have been absolutely crazy. They were celebrating VAR like it was a goal and football should not be like that.”
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sent a scout to run the rule over Rice at Bramall Lane when his handball cost West Ham a late goal.

United have long been linked with a move for the player, who is now being touted for a summer move to Old Trafford.
Solskjaer’s preference is clearly to sign young homegrown stars, with Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka also arriving last summer.
