Harry Kane matched Cristiano Ronaldo's World Cup assists tally in just one match as England thrashed Iran 6-2.
To the surprise of many, Kane didn't get on the scoresheet as the Three Lions got off to a dream start in Qatar. But he did still play a massive part in the game, setting up Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford for England's third and fifth goals.
Those were his first two assists in his seventh World Cup match, which is the same amount Ronaldo has managed in 17 games across his four finals' appearances – as pointed out by stats expert Duncan Alexander.

Kane is still behind Ronaldo for goals after failing to score against Iran. He's one short of Ronaldo's seven strikes after winning the Golden Boot in Russia four years ago with six goals.
