After a disappointing season in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are in serious need of reinforcements this summer.
A key weakness that has been at striker, with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failing to fire this term.
With Lacazette entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, he looks set to depart at the end of this campaign.
That leaves a hole to fill in Arteta’s squad, with the Gunners in need of a consistent goalscorer if they are to return to top four contention.
Here, Daily Star Sport looks at five possible replacements for Lacazette…
1. Odsonne Edouard
The Celtic striker has an impressive goalscoring record and appears ready to take a step up to Premier League football.
Despite his club’s disappointing season in the Scottish Premiership, Edouard has still scored 20 goals in all competitions this season.
It is that goalscoring threat that Arsenal have been lacking, while his pace and strength gives him the ability to bully defences.
The Frenchman is still only 23, which fits with Mikel Arteta’s drive to create a young and hungry squad, and could be available for a bargain price.
2. Ivan Toney
The Gunners only have to look to Aston Villa to see how successful buying from Brentford can be, with Ollie Watkins seriously impressing this season.
Toney took Watkins’ place at the Bees and has been in stunning form, scoring 29 goals in the Championship this season, helping his side to a play-off place.
Brentford will demand a sizeable fee for Toney, especially if they do win promotion, but his talent and young age could make him a clever signing.
3. Patson Daka

Arsenal will not be able to afford a move for Erling Haaland this summer, but they could look to one of his former clubs for a Lacazette replacement.
Daka has taken Haaland’s place at Red Bull Salzburg, firing them to what should be an eighth successive Austrian Bundesliga title.
While some may be concerned about the lack of quality in that league, Daka’s record is seriously impressive having scored 24 goals in both of the last two seasons.
Astonishingly considering that Haaland is now regarded as one of Europe’s best strikers, Daka’s record at Salzburg is actually better than the Norwegian’s.
4. Wout Weghorst
The Gunners have tended to gravitate towards buying pacy, technical strikers over recent years, but Weghorst could provide them with a plan B when those players are not scoring.
At 6ft 6in, he provides a serious aerial threat and would be able to dominate the box with Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka putting crosses in.
Since joining Wolfsburg, the Dutchman has become of the Bundesliga’s most consistent scorers, notching more than 15 goals in all three seasons in Germany.
There are two possible issues with signing Weghorst though. First of all, he is at the top end of the age range the Gunners would target and his age would mean he has little sell-on value.
5. Alassane Plea

Like Weghorst, Plea is also at the top end of the age range that Arsenal will be targeting, but he has also been consistent in the Bundesliga.
The Frenchman has hit double figures for goals in every season he has played for Borussia Monchengladbach and can also play out wide.
Interestingly, it has been reported that Plea is a huge fan of Gunners legend Thierry Henry, choosing 14 as his shirt number to honour his countryman.
Plea is set to be available for a cut-price fee this summer, as he enters the final year of his contract at Borussia-Park.
