Liverpool are likely to undergo a squad revamp this summer as Jurgen Klopp plots a route back to the top of English football next season.
It has been a miserable Premier League title defence for the Reds, who find themselves four points adrift of the top four with only five games left to play.
Klopp will be expected to add a number of reinforcements to his squad in the summer transfer window, but first he may need to show some players the door in order to raise funds.
We’ve picked out five Liverpool players who could be offloaded on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.
The Belgian striker has been frozen out by Klopp this season despite Liverpool’s regular impotence in the final third.
He is yet to feature for the Reds in over two months, meaning a summer departure would surely make sense for both parties.
And with three years still to run on his contract, Anfield chiefs could receive around £20million for his services.
Another player ostracised by Klopp, Shaqiri only has five league starts under his belt this term and, at 29 years of age, is unlikely to become a first-team regular anytime soon.
It is difficult to envisage the Switzerland winger remaining on Merseyside beyond the end of the season, with Football Insider reporting that he has told his agent to find him a new club.

There were high hopes for the Reds academy graduate at Anfield following impressive loan stints with Hull, Derby and Bournemouth in recent seasons.
But having seen his form dip slightly on loan at Cardiff this season, and with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota ahead of him in the pecking order out wide, he may finally be offloaded permanently this summer to raise cash on Merseyside.
Since completing a £54million move from RB Leipzig in 2018, Keita has proved far too inconsistent in the middle of the park and is yet to cement his place as a first-team regular under Klopp.
Reports suggest he could be one of several players shown the door at Liverpool in the summer, and with two years still to run on his contract the club may recoup a fair chunk of their investment.
