Cristiano Ronaldo has been labelled a "God" by his fans after he stripped down to his CR7 underwear.

The former Manchester United star showed off his phenomenal physique, which he's managed to maintain despite now being aged 38, in an upload to his 565million Instagram followers. As part of a recent photoshoot he sat on a throne in just a purple pair of his own boxers.

While it was a seat fit for a king, fans compared him to a higher power. One commented: "God God." Others replied "God bless" and "oh my god".

Another joked: "Delete please, my wife has Instagram." While one hailed: "Most fit athlete in history."

"The best in history," echoed another. The ladies were certainly swooning in the comments section with one writing "Ufff my man" and another referring to Ronaldo as "Daddy Cris".

His former United team-mate Patrice Evra argued: "Here we gooo haters won't like it." And comedian Abisi Emmanuel added: "Goat with six packs, can your goat ever."

It's been a good week all round for Ronaldo as after scoring a 40-yard free-kick to help Al-Nassr to a 2-1 win against Abha last weekend, he bagged a brace for Portugal against Liechtenstein on Thursday (March 23).

The first was from the spot and the second was another free-kick, this time from just outside the box, as he helped his nation get off to an ideal start in Euro 2024 qualification in a 4-0 victory.

Not only that, but Ronaldo also broke the world record for men's international appearances, earning his 197th cap. He surpassed Kuwait striker Bader Al-Mutawa, who's still active at 38 but hasn't played for them since last June.

And his lead will likely be extended when Portugal play Luxembourg on Sunday (March 26) in their second Euros qualifier of the international break.
