Chelsea thought they had a struck deal to re-sign Lukaku for £75m when he left Goodison Park in 2017, only to lose out as he moved instead to Old Trafford.
Inter president Steven Zhang has flown into Milan this week — for the first time in six months — to address the futures of Lukaku and manager Antonio Conte.
