Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to go all out in his efforts to snap Romelu Lukaku up from Inter Milan this summer. The Belgium international has become the club’s top target with Erling Haaland looking a bridge too far for the Blues.

Inter Milan striker Lukaku has become the top transfer target at Chelsea with Abramovich prepared to go all out to secure his services.

The Blues are desperate for a striker to spearhead Thomas Tuchel’s side, who have created more chances than anyone else in the Premier League since his arrival as manager in January.

However, Timo Werner has proved too wasteful while Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud do not suit his tactics.

With a number of players sales expected at Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea hope to garner enough cash for one big signing.

A striker is top of the wish list with the club chasing a top name in the game – with Borussia Dortmund star Haaland in the conversation.

But with most of Europe chasing the Norway international, plans have been put in place to look for another target.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, via Sport Witness, that man is Lukaku – who signed for the Blues in 2011.

However, at Inter Milan the 27-year-old has flourished into one of the best strikers in the world under Antonio Conte – leading them to a first Serie A title in 10 years.

In 41 appearances, Lukaku has scored 27 times and has even caught the attention of Manchester City as a potential Sergio Aguero replacement.

But Mundo Deportivo report that Abramovich is prepared to go all out in his efforts to re-sign the Belgian, who is his country’s record goalscorer as well with 59.

A number of strikers have been linked with the Blues, including Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Robert Lewandowski.

And prising Lukaku away from Inter could prove difficult with the club harbouring no intentions of letting him go.

The forward recently spoke out on his future, insisting he has no intention of leaving.

He said: “I’m really proud to be an Inter player.

“I’ve a special feeling with this club, that’s why I decided to celebrate around the city today with our fans.”
