The Champions League quarter-final fixtures have been announced with teams also able to plot their route to the final.

English sides Chelsea and Manchester City are set for blockbuster clashes as they face Real Madrid and Bayern Munich respectively. Chelsea won the competition two seasons ago while Los Blancos picked up their 14th title last year.

City manager Pep Guardiola will take on his old side and fellow tournament favourites Bayern. AC Milan face Serie A rivals Napoli, while Inter Milan take on Benfica. The fixtures will take place between April 11-19. And the final will be held on June 10 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The quarter-final fixtures could conjure up some mouth-watering semi-final clashes in the next round. Chelsea and City would provide an all-English fixture should they both progress, while the possibility of a Chelsea vs Bayern clash – a repeat of the 2012 final – is equally tantalising.

A win for Inter against Benfica would likewise present an all-Italian semi-final tie against either local rivals Milan or title rivals Napoli.

City recorded the biggest win of the competition when they demolished RB Leipzig 7-0 (8-1 aggregate) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Graham Potter's Chelsea overcame their horrendous league form to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at home and secure their spot in the quarter-finals.

Last season's winners Real Madrid showcased their dominance by dispatching Liverpool 6-2 on aggregate, with the tie pretty much wrapped up after the first leg demolition at Anfield.

Bayern are also in red hot form, knocking out a star-studded Paris Saint-Germain with a dominant 2-0 victory at the Allianz to win the tie 3-0.

Italian clubs dominate the last eight of Europe's most prestigious competition, with Serie A leaders Napoli emerging as one of the favourites to win it. They beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Wednesday to cement a 5-0 win on aggregate, while AC Milan's 0-0 draw at Spurs protected their 1-0 lead at the San Siro.

Their rivals Inter Milan were similarly able to protect their slender 1-0 advantage in the second away leg at Porto with a 0-0 draw. Portuguese league leaders Benfica made up the final place by beating Club Brugge 7-1 on aggregate.
