Arsenal should sign Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard to replace Alexandre Lacazette, according to former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell. Edouard was linked with a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, as speculation circled over the future of Lacazette at the Emirates.
Lacazette stayed and has scored three Premier League goals so far this season.
But at the age of 29, Campbell believes it will soon be time for Arsenal to replace the Frenchman.
And he reckons Edouard could be the perfect man to do that.
Edouard has scored 50 goals in 86 SPFL games for Celtic since initially joining on loan in 2017.

With Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta preferring to play captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left-hand side, Campbell thinks Edouard can replace Lacazette through the middle.
“There was talk of a move to Arsenal,” Campbell told Football Insider.

“They have been utilising Aubameyang from the left and Lacazette is the one that Edouard could come in for.
“Lacazette is the wrong side of 30 now. That move may still happen because Edouard is a really talented player.

“He is a natural goalscorer who is very cute around the box. A player that would be a great addition to anybody but for now he is at a huge club in Celtic.
“He is the top man there and I see him staying there at least until next summer.
“If Celtic get 10 [titles in a row] they might move and shake a little bit.”
Atletico Madrid and Juventus were both linked with Lacazette in the summer.
But the former Lyon man insisted he was happy in north London.
“I am at Arsenal, I signed a 5-year contract to progress & win titles,” he told L’Equipe.
“I have another 2 years. I am determined to stay.”
Lacazette’s contract at Arsenal expires in the summer of 2022, which could lead to movement on his future at the end of this campaign.
Speaking in September, Arteta insisted Lacazette is fully committed to the club.
“He’s really happy here,” Arteta said.
“He wants to keep contributing to the team. He knows about the competition with the strikers here. The way he’s been training has been excellent. I think he’s very happy here.”
