Arsenal predicted XI vs Molde as Mikel Arteta plans wholesale changes

Mikel Arteta is set to ring the changes again as Arsenal return to Europa League action following their weekend win over Man Utd.

The Gunners are a perfect two for two in the competition after securing wins over Rapid Vienna and Dundalk.

But they welcome a Molde side on Thursday who arrive at The Emirates on the back of a six-game winning streak.

That has not deterred Arteta from handing some minutes to a number of his fringe stars though as The Gunners look to take one step closer to qualifying for the knockout stages.

Defender Gabriel is expected to be the only player to retain his place in the starting lineup following Sunday's win at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian will be joined in a back three by Shkodran Mustafi, who'll make his second start since recovering from injury, and Sead Kolasinac.

Behind them, summer signing Runar Runarrson will again fulfil back-up goalkeeping duties to Bernd Leno after recording a clean sheet on his debut last week.

Granit Xhaka is recalled to the Arsenal midfield and could be take over the role as captain for the evening.

Dani Ceballos partners the Swiss international in the centre of the field with Cedric Soares and Ainsley Maitland Niles operating as wing-backs.

Eddie Nketiah will lead the line in attack having got on the scoresheet against Dundalk, and is again joined by fellow goalscorer Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson either side of him.

There looks to be no place in the starting XI for Joe Willock who was the other scorer in the 3-0 victory, while Mohamed Elneny will be given a rest as Arteta keeps one eye on Sunday's clash with Aston Villa.

David Luiz has also been passed fit for the visit of Molde but is only likely to start among the substitutes at best.
