Arsenal fans have slammed Brighton's Moises Caicedo for having "no ambition" after he put pen-to-paper on a new deal at the Amex Stadium on Friday evening.
Caicedo has been one of the breakout stars of the season – and Brighton turned down a £55million bid from the Gunners last month, as well as a £70million offer from Chelsea. However, he has now committed his future to Brighton.
The Ecuadorian has signed a new deal with Brighton valid until June 2027 with an option for a further season – and a "significant" pay rise. And Arsenal fans have now slammed Caicedo for the decision to stick to the South Coast.

One fan fumed: "Give me Rice. Looks like Caicedo has no ambition then, not made for Arsenal!"
"Looks like Caicedo isn’t showing ambition now, bit weird but we move, Declan Rice and Milinkovic-Savic in the summer," a second added. While a third tweeted: "Some players just don't wanna win any trophies in their entire life, even if it's a Charity Cup…"
And a fourth added: "Unless this has a reasonable release clause in it, this is such a poor decision from him."

Arsenal fans have instead insisted they now turned their attention to West Ham star Declan Rice – who could finally leave the London Stadium over the summer.
According to CBS, Rice is 'very open' to a north London switch – but Mikel Arteta will have to pay around £80million for the services of the in-demand Englishman.
