AFCON goalkeeper breaks down in tears after denying Riyad Mahrez’s Algeria win

Sierra Leone goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara broke down in tears after producing a world-class performance to keep Riyad Mahrez and Algeria at bay in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kamara, 22, put in a performance full of grit, determination and quality to keep the Manchester City man's team at bay in their Group E clash.

Despite his somewhat unorthodox style, the young shot-stopper made a series of impressive saves throughout the match as Sierra Leone held on for an unlikely 0-0 draw.

In one incident in the first-half, Kamara used his high starting position as an advantage to come out of the box and tackle an Algeria forward.

While in the second half, he leapt like a salmon to head away a high ball over the top before regaining his composure to make another stop on the edge of the box.

Kamara's performance saw him rewarded with the man of the match, but it all became a little too much for the star as he collected his award after the game.
