A former F1 star who Lewis Hamilton passed to win the 2008 driver's world championship looks totally different these days with fans repeating the phrase 'is that Glock?'
Timo Glock made 146 Grand Prix starts between 2004 and 2012 recording three podium finishes. Now aged 40 the German looks very different to when he left Marussia by mutual consent over 10 years ago. Still involved in motorsport Glock became a works driver for BMW and is also involved in some media work surrounding F1.
It was during Glock's first full season with Toyota that the German was unwittingly thrown into the spotlight at the season finale in Brazil.

Felipe Massa thought he had done enough to clinch his first world championship with a fairy-tale victory on home soil. However, premature celebrations in the Ferrari garage came to an abrupt end when Hamilton overtook Glock finishing in fifth winning his first world title by one point.
Glock had gambled by staying on slick tyres, which had initially fired him up the finishing order. However, the German struggled to stay on the track as the rain intensified. As he slipped back through the field Hamilton took advantage devastating Massa and the Brazilian fans with his late overtake and winning the world championship.
Speaking on F1's Beyond the Grid podcast last year Glock spoke about how he had unknowingly played a key role in deciding the world championship title.
"I walk up to the scales [drivers are weighed after races] and this bunch of journalists run down, so I got to the side because obviously [he thought] they want to talk to Lewis, the world champion," said Glock.
“But they all come to me and ask me these questions like ‘was this on purpose?’, ‘did you help Lewis?’, [saying] ‘you decided the championship’. I’m like ‘what’s going on here?’. Then my physio takes me back to hospitality, locks me in the room and tells me what happened.”
Glock added that he required a police escort to take him to the airport in Brazil and received hate mail at home. Last season he recorded an interview for Sky Sports where he discussed the 2008 world championship conclusion with Hamilton.
The German posted a picture of the interview and the incident still seemed raw with some fans. @leo.firmo said: "Brazil hates you Glock!" While @harriskleef recalled commentary from the day. He said: "Is that Glock, is that Glock going slowly?"
Since leaving F1 Glock races in the Complete Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series and took a race win at Imola last year.
