It was all tied up at the half for Washington and Dallas on Sunday, but Washington stepped up in the second half. Washington skirted past Dallas 20-17. The success made it back-to-back wins for Washington.
Alex Smith was the offensive standout of the match for Washington, as he passed for 178 yards and 1 touchdown. The Washington defense stepped up as well to lay out the quarterback four times.
A silver lining for Dallas was the play of Dak Prescott, who accumulated 273 passing yards and picked up 33 yards on the ground. Prescott has been a consistent playmaker for Dallas as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Washington will square off against the Giants at 1:00 p.m. next week. Washington will be strutting in after a win while the Giants will be stumbling in from a loss. Dallas will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Tennessee in two weeks at 9:15 p.m. These teams both are looking to take out their frustrations on one another after having lost close ones recently.
