Packers WRs Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison should be ready vs. Rams, Mike McCarthy says

Packers coach Mike McCarthy is optimistic receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison will be healthy starts for their big game against the Rams on Sunday.

Cobb and Allison have been sidelined with hamstring injuries, leaving the Packers receiving corps depleted. But McCarthy said the duo looked good in Wednesday’s practice and are on track to play this weekend.

“I think those guys look like they’re ready,” McCarthy told reporters Thursday. “There’s another threshold the training room will push them through, but I don’t have high concern. Those guys are on course to play.”

Despite the loss of the two veteran receivers, rookie wideouts Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown have fared well. They have helped the Packers win two of the last three games, during which they picked up the slack in the absence of Allison and Cobb.
