A.J. Green will be off the field for at least two weeks.
The 30-year-old wide receiver will miss the next two games with a toe injury, according to a report from ESPN. He will then be reevaluated to determine when he can play again.
Green, however, will not require surgery.
Green originally injured his toe during the Bengals’ Week 8 win over the Buccaneers and he was seen wearing a walking boot on the sideline. Green said at the time he jammed his toe and should be fine, but continual swelling caused him to visit a specialist.
“When A.J. is back and ready to go, he’ll back and ready to go,” Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis said Monday (via ESPN). “We have an opportunity to grow and get better with other people, and that’s important. A.J. will continue to do what A.J. does, bust his tail to get back out there as soon as he can.”
