The Kings are going to be without one of its newest acquisitions for the rest of the preseason.
Sacramento announced Trevor Ariza underwent a procedure on his back to remove a lipoma. He is expected to miss the team’s two remaining preseason games and will be reevaluated on Oct. 16.
Ariza scored five points in 21 minutes in the Kings’ 105-88 preseason win over the Suns on Thursday. The 15-year veteran signed a two-year, $25 million deal with Sacramento in the offseason.
He averaged 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game with the Suns and Wizards last season.
