Magic Johnson probably won’t be chewing out Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton again anytime soon.

For one, he’ll be too busy trying to catch his breath.

The Lakers snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Portland Trail Blazers with a 114-110 victory Saturday night at the Moda Center in Portland, but only after a 20-point lead shriveled to five.

The end of the losing streak, dating back to 2014, took place three days after word leaked that Johnson, president of operations for the Lakers, ripped Walton for the team’s slow start.

Although Portland stormed back in the fourth quarter, the Lakers’ overall performance figures to please Johnson, who aired out his displeasure Tuesday during a meeting with Walton in Johnson’s office, according to ESPN and the Los Angeles Times.
