Eagles fans want Carson Wentz traded and Nick Foles back in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Eagles fans still aren’t too impressed with Carson Wentz.

The 26-year-old will come head to head with New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady today.

But with the Eagles in need of a crucial win over their rivals, supporters are pining for a QB who is no longer on the Eagles’ roster.

Nick Foles, who guided the NFC East heavyweights to Super Bowl LII glory, is now on the books at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The decision to let him go has left Wentz pulling the strings in Philadelphia.

With nine games played, the Eagles faithful are still unconvinced that Wentz – who has had a succession of injury issues – is the man to lead them forward.

“I do not believe the Eagles will ever win a Super bowl with Carson Wentz. They made a big mistake getting rid of Nick Foles,” said one fan on social media.

“Rather have Foles! Looks like Napoleon Dynamite but is the real deal on the field,” added a second

“I love Carson Wentz and believe he should be the Eagles QB of the future. But I miss this dude [Foles]. What a great guy,” said one more.

“Carson Wentz is a great person does a lot for the community. I wouldn’t say he’s a great quarterback quite yet,” added a fourth.

“Wentz is scatter brained! In the pocket disaster,” said a fifth.

Not everyone was hating on Wentz, though.

One supporter urged the Eagles to keep the faith with the North Dakota State graduate.

“Nick Foles is a commendable person and a great QB. But so is Carson Wentz. We just have to give him a chance,” commented a fan.

The Patriots once again look serious Super Bowl contenders this year.

But speaking earlier this week a defiant Wentz claimed Belichick’s side are beatable.

“You can definitely win with this, first of all,” Wentz said.

“And second of all, we're going to find ways to create that. I'm never worried.

“You come out of games and maybe didn't have an explosive play.

“There's plays every game that either I miss or we miss as a team and that we leave out there, so without a doubt, you can win like that.

“But at the same time, I'm confident that we will find ways to make big plays and be explosive in both the passing and running game.”
