Mark Cuban is trying to help Delonte West through his mental health struggles. 

The Dallas Mavericks owner confirmed to ESPN on Monday that he picked up West from a Dallas-area gas station in an attempt to get the former NBA player's life back on track. 

Photos and videos of West asking for money began circulating online last week.

Earlier this year, former college teammates, like Jameer Nelson, and coaches expressed concern via social media when videos of a shirtless and rambling West went viral.

"We are reaching out to our basketball network to get the professional help Delonte needs," tweeted Phil Martelli, West's coach at St. Joseph's, in . "This is so very painful."

The Boston Celtics selected West with the 24th overall pick in the 2004 draft. He played eight seasons in the NBA, with the 2011-12 season he spent with Mavericks his last. Throughout his career, West discussed his mental health, which included a bipolar disorder diagnosis.
