Rampart High School’s Anjelina Starck on Thursday was named the 2020-21 Colorado Gatorade volleyball player of the year.
The 6-foot-2 senior has totaled 164 kills, 93 digs and 21 service aces in 11 games as an outside hitter, leading the Rams to a No. 2 seed in the Class 5A state tournament, which kicks off Wednesday at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.
“Anjelina Starck is a very strong player,” Pine Creek head coach Molly Stowers said in a news statement. “She’s an extremely versatile athlete who can excel at multiple positions. That Rampart team would not be the same without her.”
Starck has a 3.30 grade-point average and signed a national letter of intent to play for Penn State this fall.
