Fans' favourites Tiger Roll and Easysland flopped as Kingswell Theatre (22-1) stunned punters in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase at Cheltenham.
The 11-year-old winner raced from out of the weights, but jumped from fence to fence to repeat his 2017 success.
Tom Scudamore drove the veteran to a five-length success from fellow outsider Beau Du Brizais, with 2019 Coral Welsh National hero Potters Corner back in third.
Easysland, the 8-11 favourite to follow up his Cheltenham Festival heroics over the unconventional track, made some late ground up take fourth under Jonathan Plouganou, but was never in a challenging position.
Robbie Power called it a day after fence 21 on dual Grand National winner Tiger Roll.
The ten-year-old failed to jump with his usual zest and came under pressure at an early stage.
On his toes before the race, Gordon Elliott's stable star was trotted back to the racecourse stables.
The trainer's representative reported to the stewards that Tiger Roll was never travelling or jumping fluently.
A post-race examination by the vet failed to reveal any abnormalities.
