Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set for the 'biggest purse in boxing history' in their blockbuster heavyweight showdown.

WBC king Fury and WBA, IBF and WBO champion Usyk are poised to do battle as the unbeaten superstars put everything on the line in a four-belt undisputed clash.

And the duo are awaiting a mega-money offer from the Middle East to stage the duel with the venue now said to be the only issue holding up an official fight announcement.

Saudi-Arabia will now host Tommy Fury's belated bout against Jake Paul on February 26 -with the Gulf state also ready to stump up a record sum to take the fight of the year to the desert.

And Fury's veteran US promoter Bob Arum has confirmed the Gypsy King will join brother Tommy in fighting in the Middle East if the Saudi's make a record-breaking bid.

"I'm very optimistic the fight is going to happen," Arum told Sky Sports.

Who will win the unification fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk? Comment below

"Both fighters have agreed to do the fight, the question is the site and we're talking to the Middle East because allegedly they're going to come up with the biggest purse ever in boxing history

"And if they do, that's where the fight is going to go because money is money."

"If they don't, both fighters will agree to do the fight this spring at Wembley… but the fight will happen in my opinion, certainly within the first four months of the year.

"Fighters want to do the best for themselves because a fighter's career, no matter how great he is, is limited and they want to make as much money as possible."

Saudi Arabia's ever-increasing sporting portfolio and proven investment in boxing makes the Kingdom the most likely destination to stage the huge unification bout.

Anthony Joshua has twice fought in the Saudi desert and Usyk became a huge hit when he defeated the Briton in a one-sided Jeddah rematch in August.

But Fury and Usyk have a mammoth task to overtake Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao for the most lucrative fight in boxing.

The iconic duo's long-awaited clash in 2015 was the highest-earning boxing event ever, with £500 million said to have been made by the pound-for-pound kings in a bout that was billed 'Fight of the Century'.
