Mike Tyson has claimed he was “tired, high and p***ed off" when he hit a troll on an aeroplane.
The former heavyweight boxing champion was caught on camera punching another passenger on a flight to San Francisco back in April. Tyson's team later claimed Iron Mike had been harassed by the man, George Townsend III, who had repeatedly bothered and even thrown a bottle of water at the 55-year-old.
The San Mateo County District Attorney later decided not to charge the legendary boxer due to the behaviour of the complainant causing the altercation to take place. And Tyson has now opened up about the viral incident while appearing as a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
He said: "Hey listen, I'm usually good with these things and stuff. I guess I can just say it was his number.
"I was wrong, it should have never happened, that was just me back in my privileged child stages.
"I shouldn't have done it but I was irritated, tired, high and p***ed off. S*** happens. I don't want to hurt nobody."
The 'Baddest Man on the Planet' has been retired from professional boxing since 2005 and now runs a cannabis empire. He took advantage of the legalisation of recreational marijuana in California and owns a huge cannabis farm in the state.
Tyson sells products under the brand name Tyson Holistic, and one of his products happens to be a clever nod to his famous ear-biting incident against Evander Holyfield in 1997. The latest product is a cannabis edible named 'Mike Bites', which is a cleverly-designed ear-shaped sweet with a chunk missing.
