Jake Paul responds to Tyson Fury’s bold prediction for fight with Tommy

Jake Paul has produced a three-word dismissive response to Tyson Fury's bold prediction that his brother Tommy could beat him while injured.

The pair will finally face each other in the ring on December 18 in Florida after weeks of negotiations were concluded.

His opponent will be trained by his heavyweight champion brother Tyson who issued a confident prediction that his brother could win the fight irrespective of ill circumstances.

"No," Fury replied when asked previously by Queensberry Promotions if Tommy would have secured his shot at Paul by stopping Anthony Taylor.

"Tommy looked terrible on purpose so he could get this fight, that is what clever people do.

"Tommy could have his worst night ever and still beat Jake Paul. He could probably turn up with broken ribs, a broken left hand, two left feet, his clothes on back to front and a flue and he would still beat him.

"That is how confident I am that he can beat Jake Paul."

Paul has now responded to the claim on Twitter : "I smell cap."

The 24-year-old began feuding with young British star Fury after inviting him to compete on the undercard of his headline clash with Tyron Woodley in August.

Fury defeated Taylor comfortably despite failing to make a significant statement which lead to an altercation after the card with the pair planning to fight.

Negotiations went back and forth in addition to social media insults which captured the imagination of fight fans, with the pair holding a combined following of 30 million on all platforms.

Paul will face his toughest test to date in Fury who has the advantage of possessing a natural background in boxing alongside an undefeated seven-fight professional record.

However his fights to date have all come against limited opposition and he will face the added pressure from his brother Tyson and father John, who want to maintain the reputation of the famous fighting family.

Fury Sr has also called for his son to boldly stop Paul before challenging his brother Logan to a further professional bout in the aftermath.

Confidence is clearly radiating through to his son with Fury claiming that he has "robbed a bank" by being paid to face Paul and attempt to stutter his YouTube boxing career.

"When his fights are not rigged, he can't win," Fury said. "Let's be truthful here, when his fights are not set up, he loses.

"I'm not a UFC fighter, I'm not a basketball player and I'm not a YouTuber; I've been doing this all my life. When he jumps through those ropes and gets hit by a nice sharp jab in that jaw of his, he's going to be asking what he's signed himself up for.

"This is easy for money; thank God he took the fight because I'm going to rob the bank and not go to jail. Come December 18, you're going to have a funny look at the team around you because they've got you into a world of trouble."
