Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer difference noticed – ‘He absolutely looks fired up’

Nadal and Federer were amazingly playing against each other for the first time at Wimbledon since the epic final in 2008.

The duo met at the semi-final stage on Centre Court, with the winner facing World No 1 Novak Djokovic in Sunday’s final.

Former French Open winner Barker was presenting the TV coverage for the BBC as usual.

She was court-side with three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and four-time semi-finalist Tim Henman.

And Barker noticed a difference in the persona of Nadal and Federer before the warm-ups started.

She said Spaniard Rafael Nadal looked incredibly psyched up for the encounter.

However, Roger Federer was much calmer as he aims for his ninth title at the All England Club.

“Rafa is coming out, look at him, he is so pumped up for this match,” Barker said.

“Roger, he looks like he’s out there for a Sunday afternoon hit-about the court, he just takes it all in his stride.

“Look at these two great champions head-to-head.

“So the coin toss will take place and then we will see Rafa do his trademark run back to the baseline.

“He absolutely looks fired up for this.

“Honestly, he is so pumped up isn’t he.

“If you don’t get pumped up for a match like this, what will you get pumped up for?”
