Danny Welbeck is in line to make his Arsenal comeback and farewell in the Europa League final.
The England international hasn’t played since breaking an ankle in November, an injury that required double surgery.
But he has returned to full training and it is understood the club are planning to take the forward to Baku where they face Chelsea on May 29.

It remains to be seen whether Unai Emery deems Welbeck’s fitness to be good enough to make him part of the match day squad but the former Manchester United man is hopeful of being named on the bench provided he doesn’t suffer any setbacks.
Emery has confirmed Welbeck will leave the Emirates due to his contract expiring.
But the attacker could be handed his farewell in the club’s biggest game of the season, where a win would book their place in next season’s Champions League.

Welbeck’s potential return comes at a timely point for the Gunners, with it looking increasingly likely that Armenian forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not travel to Baku due to political red tape over historical tensions between Azerbaijan and his homeland.
Indeed, the fact Baku has been named as the venue for the Europa League final has been met with controversy this week.
Arsenal head into the game, due to no fault of their own, facing the prospect of being without one of their players in Mkhitaryan while thousands of supporters will not travel to the game owing to the logistical nightmare of getting to Azerbaijan.
Talks over Mkhitaryan’s predicament are ongoing, but the club are growing increasingly resigned to not having their forward available.
The club are acutely aware that even the if Mkhitaryan is permitted to travel, his presence could heighten security concerns for the rest of the squad.
