A depleted North Queensland Cowboys side snared an upset win over Sydney Roosters with young half Jake Clifford nailing a last-minute field goal.
In the absence of the injured Michael Morgan, Clifford led the Cowboys with aplomb, scoring a try and slotting two goals as well as the all important field goal to clinch the 15-12 win at Gosford to celebrate Gavin Cooper's 300th game in style.
