Darren Till was stunned by Jorge Masvidal as he suffered a brutal KO at UFC London.
Till was the big favourite going into the fight and he knocked Masvidal to the ground almost immediately in the first round.
The Liverpudlian was well on top in the first round but Masvidal came back into it in the second.
And he stunned the O2 when he caught Till with a nice combination before landing a huge left.
Till, who suffers the second defeat of his career, was out cold before he hit the floor as his Cuban opponent wheeled away in celebration.
Till eventually rose to his feet and was clearly emotional as Masvidal paid tribute to his performance.
"I love this sport and I ain’t going nowhere. I am fighting for a belt this year," Masvidal said at the end of his victory.
"All them cowards calling my name when I was doing other stuff, look who I came back to fight.
"I don’t want any of these petty dudes who are calling my name on social media, I am here to fight the best in the world. That is whoever the champ is right now."
Till was fighting for the first time since his title loss to Tyron Woodley in September and fancied his chances of getting another shot at the welterweight crown.
He told Mirror Sport : "I aways knew – and I still believe – that I’m the best fighter in the world; but I also knew I was going to take a loss.
"You’ve got to accept that deep down and if you can accept that as a fighter and as a person then you’re on the road to success.
