The Orioles have no answers for Gleyber Torres.
The 22-year-old New York infielder blasted a three-run homer off of Baltimore reliever Tom Eshelman in the sixth inning at Yankee Stadium on Monday.
The home run was Torres’ second of the game and third of the day, as he also hit one in the Yankees’ 8-5 win over Baltimore in the opener of their doubleheader.
Torres now has 13 home runs against the Orioles this season, which is the most any player has recorded against a single opponent in the divisional era, according to MLB Stats. He’s one shy of the record of 14 set by Lou Gehrig against Cleveland in 1936.
